I have this problem after installation of ver. 1220 (it's possible that it also was in 1219, but i don't test it).
After first running VC after installation - VA View was disable, so I enable it and receive this window as nondockable. After making this window dockable by mouse moving it to the dockable indow with solution explorer and class view, VA view became absolutly clear. Inside this window was nothing. After restarting VC - every thing is ok.
I test this bug a little. If one close VA view window as nondockable and then restart VC and then make it enable and then dockable - efect will continue.

System: Windows XP, VC.NET 2003
