I have a tpl file for VA 6.0 . I want to add its contents (especially - my work on it) to VA X template.
What's the best way doing it ?
It there an automatic way for it ?
It seems that the upgrade (installation) of VA X didn't take care of it.
Thanks, Gal.

the TPL files are plain text files. i suspect that the installer doesnt try to do this, since it wouldnt know how to merge in any changes you have made.

i run a diff program on my work and home TPL files to merge the changes from one into the other.

zen is the art of being at one with the two'ness

Thanks, it's solves my issue.
One more TPL issue:
When editing the template inside the Options tab, I cannot enter the Tab character (used for indentation). Every Tab inserts 4 spaces (which I don't like).
Workaround: Edit the template with an external editor. File location is:
C:\\Program Files\\Visual Assist X\\Templates\\Cpp.tpl (or so).
Gal.
