VA X build 1215-1221, VSNet 2002 and 2003. VSIP is installed, but I removed the ENVSDK_REGKEY and ENVSDK_ROOTSUFFIX environment variables before installing.
The VA X install puts the VAssistNET.Connect keys under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\VisualStudio\\7.0Exp\\Addins
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\VisualStudio\\7.1Exp\\Addins.
This causes problems as it seems to reregister into the HKLM exp hives when devenv /setup /rootsuffix exp is run (??).
When VAX is installed in the exp hive, and I attempt to run the exp hive under the debugger, it causes the error dialog stating that "this program can't run under a debugger" among other problems. By the way, that dialog really should state the name of "this program". It took me a while to figure out it was VA X... |
