(VS6 & VAX1221)

If I split a window, start to edit code in the bottom window and type '[' then VAX automatically adds ']'. If I then press Backspace it deletes the ']' but moves the cursor in the top window to the same place as the bottom window. This doesn't happen when editting in the top window...

Is VAX confused by multiple panes....?

Yes, split windows are (I guess because of the way they are implemented in MFC and wired into the IDE) a pain and occasionally fail proper operation in regard to VA X. This is known (even mentioned somewhere if I remember right) and WholeTomato is working feverishly on a fix (as soon as the real issues are cleared out)
It is annoying but there is not much I can offer as help now.

Uniwares is correct. VA X can get confused when editing with split windows.

We resolved all problems at one point, long ago, and removed the issue from our list of known problems. Obviously, we have since introduced some since then

We added again the issue to our list of problems. We will resolve them once a slew of other bugs are fixed.

Thank you for your patience.
