Hello all,
While programming the definition bar state the name of the variable that is beneath the cursor, together with its initial value (when provided at declaration). Couldn't the definition bar state the name of the variable with its current value while debugging (maybe you could display this value between brackets to show its not the initial value). For long strings, you could decide to display only the first 256 or so characters. I would like it more than the values in the tooltips (which aren't working always).
Would that be possible? Thank you for concidering it.
With kind regards, Patrick Luja

Long time ago WT told that this is all VC's very own functionality and not interfered with by VA. I suppose that hooking into the debugger is even more complicated than the editor alone. |

As Uniwares suggests, values during debug are not available to us. Hacking the debugger is not on our radar. |

I love StringWatch - found it about a year ago, I guess, and it's great. But, do you know if there's a version for VS.NET? Or a similar product? (Of course, maybe VAX will end up doing this someday... ) |

Hello all,
And what do you think about the completion option while entering names in the "Watch" during debugging?
It would be very nice to have this. (I'm feeling lonely when VA is not offering completions, then I have to think alone...)
