When you press Ctrl+Space in the Open File in Workspace dialog, the completion list pops up at the current caret position in the source file while the focus remains in the OFiW dialog.

(And please could I have a "show only files from active project" checkbox?)

Holy cow, I didn't even realize that was a modeless dialog! That's pretty handy.

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce what you describe. I don't understand the sequence of events, I think. When I open the OFiW, that dialog has focus; if I click in the source code window, that window now has focus. If I now click Ctrl-Space, the source window still has focus. What steps are you taking that I'm not?

Open the dialog and in the edit field just press Ctrl+Space (yes, its useless to do so in a normal edit field, but it just happend to me in a swish of mental absense)

Okay, I can reproduce that in VC6 (but not in .NET 2003)...

Same thing happens with the Find Symbol dialog. Even funnier is to press Ctrl+Shift+M which seems to emulate pressing OK or Enter. That keyboard handling in this dialogs needs a serious overhaul.
