Hello all,
While installing VA X, the question is asked if you want to reset the toolbars or not. I don't want to do this at default, because I'll lose all my settings. But the default button for this question is OK and not CANCEL. So when I press space or enter the reset will be caried out.
Could this be changed, please?
With kind regards, Patrick Luja |

Also the warning should appear even the first time you install VAX, even though there is no choice about it then, just so that people know it's not Whole Tomato's fault. |

Don't you think that putting warnings where warnings arn't needed makes people disregard warnings when they are needed? I think it is better to not put the warning the first time it is installed. I do like the idea of making No the default button. |

I think WT somehow needs to tell people that it's Microsoft's fault that the toolbars have to be reset. Lots of people blame WT for this, and immediately have a negative feeling about the product. |

You're absolutely right, IMHO. I'd go even farther than that - I'd prove it was a Microsoft issue by providing some kind of link: a Knowledge Base article, a ticket number, a quote from Bill Gates - anything to demonstrate that's it's a known issue, and they're not just pointing fingers.

For starters, we beefed up the warning on our downloads page.

We are unable to find a reference to the problem other than in a newsgroup posting. Let us know if you find something. |

Hello all,
I've installed version 1033 today, and the installer would still accept Yes (at the question if it should reset the toolbars) if I would have pressed space (luckily I didn't).
Could this please be adapted? Thank you.

Default answer to reset for VS.NET is "no" in build 1234.
Default for VC++ 6.0 is still "yes" since side effects are not as drastic as they are for VS.NET. |
