i have been seeing this one occasionally for quite a while now across several versions of VAX. this time i remembered to grab and save out a screen shot, which i have emailed to support. hopefully they can post it.
in this case the code was:

i was typing the second line, and i had a suggestion list box with two tomato icons. the first suggestion was blank, and the second suggestion was #include "-?"
