Sometimes, when I am typing a function call, I type an argument that pulls up a member list box for a structure, hit tab to complete the member for me, type a comma, and the function parameter information does not show up again. If I press my hotkey assigned to do that, the parameter info still does not show. If I move to another line of code, come back to my unfinished function call, and then press the hotkey, the parameter info shows again.
This seems to happen only when I type the function name in. I.e. if I type the function name and a (, and then go to another line and come back and then type the parameters, there is no problem showing the parameter info.

Yes, this plagued me. Doing a quick ctrl-tab ctrl-tab also sorts it out. IIRC the first tip is the VS built-in one (up and down arrows in the tooltip), the one which comes back is the 'proper' VA one.
WT changed something fundamental in parameter tooltip handling from VA7.1 -> VAX - apparently for important (though undisclosed) reasons.
I think they know about the problems.

| This is still happening. I have found that if I hit the "esc" key first, then I can hit "ctrl-space" and the param tooltip is displayed. It is almost like something needs to be "reset" or "cleared" before the tooltip shows up again. |
