i recall seeing a reference to VA saving unnamed bookmarks in some versions of VS. from memory the page said that this wasn't done in VS .NET 2003 since the IDE now does this.
i am writing a program that produces some XML, which is going to be converted into HTML using an XSL style sheet.
since i am writing the two hand in hand, i have the XSL file open in VS, but it has not been added to the project. VS happily lets me use unnamed bookmarks in the XSL file, but it isn't saving them
i have just switched my machine to hibernate and i am hoping that by hibernating rather than shutting down at the end of the day the bookmarks wont be lost.
is there any chance of VAX saving and restoring unnamed book marks in other files opened in VS .NET 2003?
Your assumption about our earlier versions is correct. VA 6.0 saved bookmarks for VC++ 6.0 users. In fact, VA X still does it, albeit for VC++ 6.0 users.
Odds are slim we will implement saving in VS.NET any time soon.
