Since installing 1233 WndTabs V3 has several times entered an infinite loop whilst redrawing tabs. Visual Studio 6. I have not seen this happen with previous builds.
WndTabs Add-In Integration reports Visual Assist "Detected, Version 6.0.0.1201" which was true!
I have observed a similar problem, especially when running the debugger and hitting F5 to leave a breakpoint. The VC6 IDE seems to occasionally just lock up - taking 0% CPU but never redrawing or ever handling any input ever again... resulting in me having to kill the VC6 process.
This never happened before I upgraded to VAX - although, I suppose our source code may have changed in some way that's throwing it...
Oh well, have now switched WinTabs off for a while to see if the problem reappears... (the splash screen for it was annoying me anyway )
Well, it isn't actually WndTabs which is causing it (maybe this should be in another topic...). I've updated to 1237 as suggested, and - if anything - it's now more common for it to 'lock-up'!
It seems to occur both when VA is in normal use AND when it's 'Disabled' (via the VA Enable/Disable button). It works absolutely fine if I restart VC6 with the VA Add-In turned off (Tools->Customize->Add-Ins).
VA_X.dll file version 10.0.1237.0 VAOpsWin.dll version 1.0.0.44 MSDev.exe version 6.0.8168.2 Devshl.dll version 6.0.8798.0 Devedit.pkg version 6.0.8447.0 Font: Courier New 12(Pixels) Comctl32.dll version 5.81.4522.1800
... I have no idea, but the only way to stop it seems to be to completely unload VA at the moment!
