Aaarrgghhh!!! 
I got the bright idea that maybe there's something wrong with my install of VAX, so I uninstalled it, wiped everything I could find from the disk and the Registry, re-installed, and now this is what I get for syntax coloring:
I cannot believe this. Please tell me I did something silly, like forgetting a checkbox somewhere.

Rebooting did not fix it. I notice, though, that my old "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Whole Tomato" had a REG_SZ value called 'ToolbarState', with a data of 'Visible'. My new key has no such value. I will add it and see if that fixes it...
Nope, that didn't fix it... Next I guess I'll un-install and re-install it again.

Well, hell, never mind, that fixed it. I must have held my mouth wrong the first time I uninstalled and reinstalled.
This constantly mutating VAX behavior reminds me of what NTSC supposedly stands for: Never Twice the Same Color...

Larry,
Did you realize, that your 770 kB bitmap takes only 46 kB when saved as a GIF or 29 kB as a PNG? Don't you care about your server's bandwith (not to mention forum readers)? |

Give me a break, I was in a hurry. And no, I couldn't possibly care less about my server's bandwidth.
Forum readers, though, I guess I do care about... I'll go delete the image, now that the problem is fixed.
