I'm having a problem installing visual assist X (VA_X_Setup1237.exe).
I am executing with administration privs and I am running VS .Net 2003 on a Windows 2000 SP4 machine.

While Unpacking VA_X.dll I get:
"Error while unpacking program, code 2. Please report to author."

If I click OK. I get another dialogue box that sais:

LoadLibrary(C:\\Program Files\\Visual Assist X\\VA_X.dll) failed. GetLastError returns 0x0000045a."

When I look up 0x45a I get:
A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

If anyone has had this problem before and knows how to fix it, I would appreciate any help.

After talking to a colleague, I found this error occurs because visual assist has soft ice protection and I'm running soft ice. If support could verify this I would appreciate it.

Your assumption is correct.

Stop SoftIce before installing VA X.
