I had this problem with 1239 and now with 1240. In a few days after installation VA X stops displaying suggestion boxes (when I type variable name and '.' nothing happens) and function tooltips (when I type function name and '(' function parameters aren't shown). Reinstalling VA X seems to solve this problem until it appears again. Rebuilding symbol database/clearing the cache doesn't help.

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the problem since there seems to be no pattern in its appearance - I just work as usual and then all of a sudden VA X stops coming up with suggestions and function tooltips. And when it does it keeps acting that way until it's been reinstalled.
Here's more detailed information on missing function tooltips problem:
I type function name (any function - global, class method, from custom or stable headers) and '('. Nothing happens. If I hover the cursor over the function name I can see the tooltip with its declaration. If I put the cursor inside of the function name I can see its declaration in the box on top of the window (I think it's called 'Definition field' in VA X options dialog). So VA X recognizes the function correctly but for some reason it doesn't show the tooltip with parameter list when I type inside of the parentheses.
I have also noticed this. VA X does recogize the variables though, because as soon as you finish typing the name of the variable it colors it correctly.
same problem here, but I somtimes can see suggistion list boxes (the red tomatoe ones) but im completly missing the more usefull completion boxes. is some rare cases it is possible to bring up a completion box using "ctrl-space".
