Build 1240, Visual C++ 6.0: While Debugging, I get 2 Tooltips: One shows the Value of the Variable and is not Syntax-colored, the other is overlaying the first and shows definition/declaration of the Variable and is syntax-colored.
"Prefer Intellisense..." is DISabled...
Only happening in VS 6.0 so far... Happening in 1240, 1242, 1244.

We cannot reproduce the problem, at least not yet.
Do you have any of the statement completion options set in Tools|Options|Editor? You should not. (VA X disables them at install.)
VA X sets a timer and if MS does not display a tooltip within the limit, VA X tries. After trying, VA X clears its own tooltip if MS changes its mind. It appears VA X does not see the MS tooltip. (If not obvious, the colored tooltip with the larger border is from VA X.)
Does the problem happen often? Consistently?
Anyone else with the problem? With a German IDE? |

I'll try tomorrow at work. I have just double-checked: It does NOT happen in VS .NET 2003! Does VAX disable those Options at every install?
Did the following this morning: Download and install VAX_Setup1244.exe Start VS 6.0 Open a Workspace Place some breakpoints Debug Took Screenshot
So I did not enable/change anything in VS 6.0 Options (well, not after installing 1244, for sure).
