| When the VA view is set to auto hide in VS2003 and it is active/visible, hovering over the items in the HCB will eventually show tooltips for source under the VA view. This is pretty annoying. It starts to show tooltips for the item in the HCB, switches to the explanation tooltip what the HCB is, and finally shows the definition for whatever is at the location under the mouse in the source window. |

reproduced in .NET 2003 with VAX 1246
hovering the mouse so that it is over VA View, and also over a variable in my code. after perhaps 1 second the HCB changes to show me the details of the variable that my mouse would be over if VA View wasn't visible.
i am then getting the "what is the HCB" tooltip since the variable doesn't have any class info, so there are no items in the HCB to give me a tooltip about.
rather unpleasant, since i have VA View set to auto-hide myself  |
