When I try to install the Visual Assist X 30-day trial, I get a virus warning from my virus scanner (Trend Micro OfficeScan). Does anyone know the cause of this? Should I be concerned? The scanner does not pick up a virus in the executable itself. Maybe one of the setup files just happens to contain a signature that matches a virus, but I'd like to get definite confirmation if this is so. I'd also like to know if anyone else has encountered this problem. Thanks.

This is probably a silly question, but I'll ask anyway - is that with the absolute latest Norton AV signatures?

no virus warnings from Norton AV 2004 at home or Sophos at work, both up to date. having said that, i haven't installed a new VAX build for a few days, but if there was a virus it should have been spotted by now.

We suspect your anti-virus software is detecting some of our anti-piracy code. Your anti-virus software can't debug our installer as it prefers to do.

Thanks for your reassurances.
I temporaily disabled the anti-virus software while installing Visual Assist X. All seems to be well.
