Steps to repro: - Open the Resource view window, so it is docked and does not auto hide. - Klick into the Resource view window, so it has the focus. - Press Shift-Strg+O to open the dialog "Open file in workspace". - Type something to select the file. - Press Enter
Nothing happens. The enter key is fetched by the Resource view window.
Also the Tab key is not working in the "Open file in workspace" dialog. I am a keyboard purist, my mouse is somewhere hidden undr books <bg>... Yes I know I can use Up/Down, but I want more control. I want to jump into the list control.

We assume you have Alt+Shift+O assigned to OpenFileInWorkspaceDialog in "Global" versus default "Text Editor." If so, we can reproduce this problem.

speaking as someone else who's mouse is burried under paperwork, if i am forced to dig my mouse out to resize one of the columns, focus goes into the list control. now there is no way to get keyboard focus back into the edit control without using the mouse a second time *sob* |

If the list control would remember its columns' widths across program runs (hint, hint) you wouldn't have to resize them so often... the dialog should also remember its size...

What did you hear? Keeping the column width or accepting the Tab to move the focus... :-D
Also I stop getting on your nerves... I say good bye for the next 3 weeks, holidays are waiting... :-) |

Which is exactly why I make sure to stay home then! No point in going when places are at their most crowded and expensive. Of course, it's different for people with kids, because school holidays are the end of July, and August, at least in the UK.
I might go and hang out in the Lounge for a bit though. |
