When attempting to use the autocomplete list it keeps disappearing even when scrolling through the available options.

do these lists have question mark icons? It seems to do it on everthing that popups, it appears for a second or two then disappears before I've had a chance to select anything. For instance if I type string. the popup with available members appears but while I'm scrolling through the options it just disappears
what language are you using? any other plugin's? I'm using C# with a TestTrack Pro plug in and Visual SourceSafe
What build of VA 10.1 do you have? I had to uninstall so I'm not sur of the build, but I used the evaluation copy available on your website. |

Okay, I hope your all sitting down, but this is what appears to be the problem. Bold Fonts. It seems that there is a bug with the IDE that, when bold fonts are selected for standard text it has trouble keeping the cursor in place with the text. In fact the cursor bounces several spaces ahead of the text. So it looks like, and I am speculating, after hitting the . the selection list is displayed, but at somepoint it is checking to see what is to the left of the cursor, finds nothing so hides the list. Supposedly this bold font issue is currently fixed in Whidbey and will presumably be fixed in the next version of VS. |
