Could the find symbol dialog pickup the symbol under the cursor please ?
I know I can use f12 for the same thing in .net but VA is so much quicker.

F12 is a shortcut for the default command of Goto Definition. This is not something handled by VA X. It's handled by the IDE.

While we like your suggestion, you might want to use Alt+G for now. Alt+G is the default assignment for the Goto Implemenation command inside VA X.
