I'm a keyborad addict,

I have a lot of file in my workspace, I would like to have the ability to simplify my search in the following way :

I've files like

GrapherDoc
GrapherView
GrapherTree
GrapherValue

I've also the same for Editor :

EditorDoc
EditorView
EditorTree
EditorValue

I would like to enter something like gr/tr or ed/tr
to search for all the file that have gr (or ed) and tree in there name.

The / can't be use in file name so it would be a great improvment to use it in this way.

(The idea is not mine, it's only the way WorspaceWhizard works, and I think it's a good idea, because now that I've not any more, it miss me a lot)

The same type of search would be great in the file symbol dialog.

I believe there's a plan to allow acronyms and shorthand in the SIW (which would be a big improvement there). Maybe they could be used in the FIW too?

my understanding is that acronyms and shorthand are planned for both OFIW and FSIW, but so far there is no timescale for this. personally i am also really looking forward to this
