Hi,

I use Visual assist X for Visual Studio 2004 every day and also unfortunatly have to use Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++. I recently installed 'Visual Assist X 10.1.1299.0' which is the first time I've installed Visual Assist whilst eMbedded C++ is installed. Now when I try to start eMbedded C++ it just hangs with a grey window behind the splash 'screen'.

Visual Studio 2004 still works with Visual assist but I can't start eMbedded Visual C++

Many thanks

Do you have the "Tip of the day" enabled in VAX?
If so, maybe disabling them in VS .NET 2003 will help letting eMbedded VC++ start again?!?

Hi,

Appologise for the hasty post. I've just reset my machine to see if that would fix the problem. Whilst shutting down it closed the splash screen and grey window revealing a window asking if I want to continue the trial or buy.

I have read the upgrade policy which leaves me unsure as to if I need to upgrade to X since I have a 4.1, 6.0 and 7.1 key. It looks as though I can use the 6.0 key in eMbedded C++ and the 7.1 in .NET. But would this mean I have to change between the keys when I change between IDEs?

Thanks.

You should be able to run VA X with all the keys you have.

You should not have to change keys between IDEs.

Send your keys or contact info to [email protected]. We will make sure your keys are okay.
