The subject of this topic is display in the status bar of my VS.2003 for about a minute or so. Might that text come from VAX?
I use 1301 with VS2003 and have two C/C++ solutions open. One of them froze after trying to paste some code from the clipboard into a cpp. After realizing the text in the status bar I closed the other VS instance (which was still responsive). One devenv.exe had disappeared but the open instance still showed the above status text. Without having meassured it with a clock I would say that it took about another 30-40 seconds after the other devenv.exe disappeared that the remaining devenv did start to respond again.
Of course this didn't reproduce when I tried the above steps a second time - sigh.
I keep looking for this status text...
