i am vaguely familiar with doxygen comments. what sort of effect are you after? i didn't think there was much structure to doxygen comments to make bold.
Imagine if there are 10 methods in this group and there are 10 similar groups in the class. I'd like to see a method group name (don't know at the moment where it could be shown, probably some tooltip). The 2nd - "ICodec interface methods." bold font string to see the group name. 3rd - an ability to jump to the beginning and end of this group (some short-cut). 4th - some hint in the source cpp file what group a method belongs to.
Yes, the same - I've noticed that topic too: "...we have no plans to support doxygen or JavaDoc style comments." Ok, anyway thanks. At least it's clear now.
personally i see the appeal of making parts of the comment bold, but some of your other ideas would require a lot more work, and are very tightly tied to the specifics of how doxygen work.
this is rather getting away from the main focus of VA.
