I installed build 1409, and have it working, but can't assign shortcuts (there's no environment submenu under general). Will there be a build soon, or is there already one that works on 2005 beta, and allows short cuts to be assigned?

i don't follow what you are trying to do. when i want to assign a keyboard shortcut to a VA feature i use:

tools menu -> options -> environment -> keyboard

using the "show commands containing" enter the string "VAssistX" to see the VA commands that you can assign a shortcut to.

this works fine for me using vs2005 beta 2

I want to map the switch between .cpp and .h feature to alt-o. I can't remember where I saw this decribed, but it involved opening the whole tomato menu and giong to enviromment->keyboard. But I see only environment->fonts and colors

when you install VA if you let it do a reset of the keyboard settings it should assign swap between .cpp and .h to alt_o for you. i believe the only time it will not do this is if this keyboard shortcut is already assigned to some other action.

the alternative is to manually assign the keyboard shortcut:

VAssistX.OpenCorrespondingHorCPP

to alt_o
