since VA1413 I saw several thing that drive me crazy

- first va crash 5 time yesterday
- tooltips again and again stay on the screen
- va is more and more slow (on a >10000 lines file)
- sometimes my machine is locked for a couples of seconds (>20)

this things were not present in 1409 but in old versions
did you use the revert to last backup after a crash of VA ?

ouch. can you get a call stack next time VA crashes, presuming you have not down graded to 1409 yet?

are you doing anything in particular to make tooltips stay on the screen? which tooltips is this happening with? could you post a small screen shot of the effect? is this tooltips inside the IDE, or tooltips staying put on top of other programs when you change programs.

large files, using vs 2003 + VA 1413 with C++ i have just looked out two library cpp files, 8098 and 13238 lines long. typing a new function at the bottom of these files and everything seems to be running at full speed.

are you getting speed problems with anything specific? or is everything very slow, including moving the caret and scrolling? does disabling VA make any difference to the speed problem?

the IDE locking up, this happens to me several times a day, 20 seconds or more is quite normal. this is normally happens when i am in the middle of typing a symbol of function name. the bad news is that this happened to me before i even discovered VA, and it happens to other people i know who don't use VA (the fools ). as far as i can tell this is an IDE problem. i presume it has something to do with the IDE re-parsing the code base.
