I press ctrl+space just after typing only 'k' witch is or prefix for constants (and we got a lot of constants starting with 'k') va is locked for a couple of seconds. this is normal. Yes I know, it was an error -> but i can't stop va searching more than 20 sec. Can't you handle esc key to stop search ?
