1428 seems to work ok except 1 minor problem. Labels in a statement within a (block} are underlined. VAX thinks that labels are local to the block which is only true if the block is the entire function.

The documentation for Autotext gives the old syntax. How do I find the new documentation? I understand that $end$ is the carret position. What is $selected$? I like to remove as many of the autotext entries as possible to speed up VAX and use my own.

i don't follow your first point about labels. can you post a small code sample to illustrate what is happening?

the autotext documentation is here

$selected$ is the currently selected piece of code. this is useful when surrouning a load of lines with a control block, or using a word to define a class.

The underlines are gone. The parser was just very slow the first time I ran 1428 but ok now.
Thanks for the link. I am glad Whole Tomato is back on track.
