On large project VAX1248 uses too much of additional memory. For sample, when I open project contains nearly 100 .cpp-files with over 1000 rows per file, VAX allocates additional 300-400Mb of memory each time when "Updating Intellisense" invoked. On my computer with 512Mb of RAM it greately impacts on perfomance.

IntelliSense is Microsoft, not VAX. And I wish that there would be a way to disable it.

This is totally normal for IntelliSense and has ever been so since the first release of VS2005 beta.

When VAX is disabled, memory usage is normal, about 100Mb for entire devenv.exe.

I read that renaming "C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\\VC\\vcpackages\\feacp.dll" to something else switches off Intellisense.
