The suggestion:
When the file is not open, be sure it will be placed just next to the current file in the editor tab.

It could be nice.

We are considering enhancing the tab bar in the IDE at some point:

For now you might want to look into this plugin:

http://www.tabsstudio.com/

I have never used it, so I don't know how well it actually works, but it does sound promising.
