perhaps this had been suggested before, but would it be possible to make variables that that are assigned once but never used, or even created and never used, it be possible to make this gray, or highlighted?

We are considering something like this at some point:

Maybe it would be some kind of triggered scan or a real-time detection like in your suggestion, depending on what is viable.
