I have tried following joke with VA X 2001 and it seems that keywords are still blue even they are defined as macros.

#ifndef AVOID_JOKE
#define while if
#define true false
#endif

As far as I remeber, it was working... or not?

To clarify what I consider working:
I consider working, when anything #defined has a color for Preprocessor macros defined in VA X Options.

This might be a silly question, but why do you want VA to colour some keywords like macros? You can change the colour of keywords in the IDE font and colour options after all.

Remember, keywords are a hard coded list, so VA is not expecting to see them redefined as macros.

Do you have any idea of when you saw this working? In which version of VA and which IDE? I can test an older version if you have some idea.

You should know a background:

One day my friend (co-worker) wanted to be funny, so he added such definitions to his header file. I do not remeber how, but I believe that thanks to VAX I found what was going on. Now I have made the same and it seems to not work. That's all. I agree that it is not necessary :)

However, sometimes may happen that somebody makes such define for testing purposes and forgets to udefine it. Ofcourse not such stupid define as are that joke :).

Let's forget it :)

OK, so long as you are happy. It is a fairly obscure situation, and hopefully things like this don't happen to often.
