I have a fairly large, mixed (C# and C++) solution: 74 projects, at least half of which are C++ projects. (The C# app hits legacy unmanaged code via COM.)
Whenever I make a change in a C# file that causes the file to get checked out, VS hangs for close to a minute. I'm using Surround SCM and went back and forth with Seapine tech support until I found that disabling Visual Assist makes the problem go away.
This happens with Visual Assist v10.8.2001.0 (2013.09.20) in both VS 2012 and VS 2013 on Win7. The problem does not occur in VS 2010. |
