I open VS.NET 2003. I open a solution and sometimes VS.NET crashes. The dialog shows that the crash occured in VAX. I can not reproduce the crash, because everytime a second attempt to open the solution succeeds.

Is there any dump I can create and send to you. Logging will not make sence because the fault ist to rare.

Martin

Nope!
I am running a Intel P4 3.08MHZ with 512MB Ram

Also Crash occurs randomly. Best chance to reproduce is to be very fast after launching the VS.NET and directly open the project.

If you setup Visual Studio to open the last solution, does that make the situation more consistent? Either not crashing or crashing? Perhaps that would yield some clues (especially if that makes it crash consistently)

I must try it. But I hate this option. I never use it because I work currently on 4 Solutions and I often start VS.NET more than one time.

Also the crash is rare but, it occurs on an 5% average.
