After an unsuccessful unstalling of visual assist, I can't use visual studio 2005's shortcuts any more, even F10. In option->envirement->keyboard, nothing lefts for me to choose, all settings are gone. Importing setting won't help.

But my vs2003 has no problem.

I don't know if the problem is caused by va. But if anyone know how to recover my keyboard setting, I will appreciate.

We aren't sure what you mean by, "nothing left for me to choose."

Try the Reset button in the options node you describe. Try also [re]setting the keyboard mapping scheme.

Resetting won't help. There should be some schemes, such as vc6, emacs.. but in my vs these schemes disapear, I can't recover anything. Even bachspace doesn't work

Do you have the option of repairing or reinstalling VS2005?

to make sure we are talking about the same thing here:

in VS2005, tools menu -> options -> environment -> keyboard
there is a pull down list for keyboard mapping schemes.

is this the list that is missing entries? or even totally empty? i have often installed VA and never seen a problem with this list myself. do you have any other addin's installed?

have you tried tools menu -> import and export settings?
this produces a dialog where the bottom option is "reset all settings"

which version of VS2005 are you using?

The list is totaly empty.

I tried the "reset all setting", and I got following error:
Your settings were reset, but there were some errors.

Error 1: An error occurred while importing settings for 'Keyboard'.
Error 2: Projects and Solutions: Unable to import property 'ProjectItemTemplatesLocation' because it contains invalid data '%vsspv_visualstudio_dir%\\Templates\\ItemTemplates'.
Error 3: Projects and Solutions: Unable to import property 'ProjectTemplatesLocation' because it contains invalid data '%vsspv_visualstudio_dir%\\Templates\\ProjectTemplates'.
Error 4: Projects and Solutions: Unable to import property 'ProjectsLocation' because it contains invalid data '%vsspv_visualstudio_dir%\\Projects'.
I'm using vs2005 pro

This problem of a disappearing keyboard scheme happened to us as well. We found the fix at:

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=345342&SiteID=1

devenv.exe /resetuserdata
