VA .NET 2003 first introduced enhanced capabilities in "small" textboxes (p.ex., in find/replace): Hitting "Ins" toggles insertion/overwrite mode, just like in the source editor.
I would find this gimmick convenient for the "Rename" dialog, too. Sometimes, a rename consists of changing a few letters which is fastest to do with overwrite.
