I installed the 1544 build on a WinXP system with admin rights. The istallation seems to work correctly. Also starting the VS2005 works fine. I see the new Visual assist menu item and tool bar. But, VA seems to do nothing, but the color enhancement. No bold or italic symbols, no intellisense and finally no refacorting. Was goes wrong?

Can you please go to:

VA Options -> About -> Copy Info

and paste the details (from the clipboard) into this thread. This will give us the basic information about your setup.

Place focus in a code file, and does alt-m list the methods in the file?

Which language are you programming in?

I am not sure what is going on here to be honest. Have you allowed VA to finish parsing your code yet?

You could try:

IDE tools menu -> Options -> Environment -> Fonts and Colors -> Use Defaults

which might help with VA's enhanced syntax colouring, but given nothing seems to be working I am not sure if this will help or not.

It's been solved. It seems that VA needs to have full access to its program folder. Wouldn't it be better, if at least a warning would appear, instead of working incorrect?

We are working on some changes / fixes for this, hopefully in the next build or two.
