When selecting from the list of methods in the current file or using ALT+G to jump to a method implementation, in most cases the requested method will be shown just above the bottom of the screen, just 5-6 lines will be seen, which requires scrolling down each time after using ALT+G.
It would be nicer, if the jump to a function will also scroll the file so the chosen function start will be in the middle-upper part of the screen, thus allowing big parts of it's implementation to be displayed.

I am Using VAX 1543 with Visual Studio 2003.

I requested that feature several times already, and I think that they have a case code for it.

I think it is not at the top of the priority list right now.

Thanks Sasa!
I was not aware that it was already reported!
Anyway a new complain maybe will urge VAX team to fix this, or at least to raise the priority...

This request is in the list under a couple of different headings. The best match seems to be:

case=458

Sasa is quite correct, this is not at the top of the priority list. But to be fair I try to reserve that spot for cases that say "the IDE is crashing", or words to that effect.

Immagine an ALT-G with the feature requested. It would really be something. Meanwhile, half the time it is un-usable to me.

Can you try mapping a keyboard shortcut to the IDE command "Edit.ScrollLineCenter" ?
I know this is not a proper fix, but it might help in the short term.

Looking at case=458 some changes have been made for this, and should show up in the next build of VA, for the case when the target was not already visible on the screen.

case 458 has the title "Move current line to top of display after goto, Alt+M, etc."
