In emacs I can split a window in two buffers and display a different file in each buffer. Is there a way to do the same with VisualAssist? There is a split control on each VS window, but it doesn't let me edit a different file in each pane.
The IDE can do this. How you do this will depend on the IDE you are using. One method is to use MIDI mode, rather than tabs, so you get windows that can be tiled.
Alternatively in VS2003, VS2005 you can right click on the tabs and select "New Horozontal Tab Group"
