I have not tried this IDE myself, but unless VA knows about this IDE, and has been written to support it, then it will not show up or work.

If the release of VS2005 is anything to go by VA will not support the IDE until much closer to the release date. At this point the IDE is likely to be undergoing significant changes that would impact VA's ability to work correctly.

Microsoft has the download beta available for free at this URL. It is a Virtual PC 2007 instance and seems to work well.

It's a huge download (nine 700MB files, plus Virtual PC 2007):

scroll to the bottom of the page... I am seeing a 9 part RAR file, each part is 700meg, and by the sounds of it you need an existing drive image to run this on top of as well.

A little over 6gig in total

Strangely enough I am not rushing to do a 6gig download right now

There is also an installer available. I don't have the URL but you don't have to install it via the VPC image unless you are on vista.

Which doesn't make the download much smaller, of course
IIRC it is 6*700 MB + 1*400MB

Raindog, if you can dig up that URL it would be appreciated. :)
