I believe I'm having this problem since 1539, but before opening a thread here I wanted to try the latest version for which I had to renew my license. Which I did yesterday, and I'm now using 1549 which has the same problem.
Sometimes, not always, when typing in code, the suggestion listbox that pops up doesn't focus the best match. That is, it doesn't focus at all - e.g. typing tab for autocompletion just inserts a tab instead of autocompleting. I have to manually press the down or up key for the autocompletion to be able to work. This is very annoying.
While I say "sometimes", it's behaviour seems consistent however. For example, when starting to type in a statement involving a type or a member, it gives the listbox the focus. In contrast, when typing in a member function definition, it focusses the listbox when typing in the returntype, but not when typing in the class name.
I hope this can be addressed :) |

This is VA trying to be helpful, and is by design. You can turn off this behaviour with a registry key, as explained here:

Thanks, I'm glad it's configurable! But I'm curious, why not expose this option in the options dialog? |
