I am using 30-day trial version of Visual Assist from couple of days in development environment Windows 2000 Prof + Visual Studio 6.0 (VC++ 6.0) Enterprise edition.
We have new remote development environment where developers works remotely in VC++ under windows 2003 Server using Remote Desktop Connection. Visual Assist trail version was installed in administrator mode. Under such environment we have faced certain issues
1)In VC++ status bar we are getting message like "Waiting for other instance of Visual Studio to flush DB..."
2) VC++ crashes many times while working.
My queries related to this
1) Is Visual Assist works fine under such environment. 2) Is there special rights need to give individual user?
We are connecting to server with different user name via Remote Desktop connection.

VA 1438 stores the symbol database in the VA install directory which will cause you problems. Recent versions of VA store their symbol database in a user specific directory. So installing the latest version may well fix both of these problems:
