Now press TAB after the "else" to insert a tab and start writing a comment... its impossible.

I think, it's the IDE not VAX, expanding the snippet "else"...

I've disabled the snippets of VAX, because i'm fully comfortable with the IDE's snippet function (C#), though it is not that comfortable to extend...

Uniwares: Yes, it is impossible, but I get

{

}

also with disabled Visual Assist. I have even uninstalled VAX, and the same happened.

hmm, I tried to disable VAX, which resulted in a crash (dump sent, case# 18718), so i was not able to repro it without VAX.

If you close the IDE and use the registry flag given here:

to stop VA from loading do you still see the problem? I see the same behaviour as accord with VA disabled in this manor.

I just deleted the else.snippet file from the VS snippets folder and it stopped. What a silly thing and its not a VA bug. Sorry guys.
