1. When I double click some C++ symbol in the editor - VS caption will blink enormously;
2. VA Navigation Bar controls are displayed over docking panels (I have them all with auto hide option).

VA_X.dll file version 10.6.1823.0 built 2010.05.06

Point 1: I wasn't able to reproduce anything like this. Can you reproduce this when Visual Assist is disabled? You can disable VA here:

VAssistX -> Enable / Disable Visual Assist X

I'm just wondering if it's a Visual Assist problem or not. Do you mean the title bar by VS caption?

I don't think VA ever touches this. But if it is a VA problem, we will investigate.

Point 2: I am seeing the same effect here and put in a bug report for this:

case=44413

I saw a flickering issue in VS2010, it was not VA causing it though, it was another plugin called 'PowerCommands' - I disabled that and the flickering went away.

As for the VA Nav bar being displayed over the docking panel, I've seen this as well.

I too have the docks set to autohide and the nav bar at the bottom of the window and not at the top.

Thank you for the update, I am glad you were able to fix the flickering problem. The context and definition fields problem is:

case=44413

I am seeing the same problem here. This is currently being looked at, hopefully we will have a solution soon.
