Uninstalling VA X so far works, but I still got the tomato on the startup screen. Reinstalling and uninstalling doesn't help.

How to remove this icon manually?

It is likely the extraneous icon is from an old build of VA X. Install an old build and uninstall it using the Add/Remove Programs CP.

Reinstall the latest build when you are done.
