I just encountered a fairly strange thing, I had seen it a long time ago in VA 6, but it appears to have been fixed in VA.net.
After working for several hours, all in a sudden, I was unable to highlight a block of text by dragging the mouse, nor did double click work. I could click/shift-click to highlight though.
After sometime, the spacebar quite working. I toggled VA X off, and things started working again (without VA).
Then I noticed that the VA menu would not even pull down. I had to exit visual studio and restart it to get back to the point where I would work with VA again.

Yes, Now that I see that thread, I think you could be right. I'll let you know if it starts happening without spellchecking.
