I have Visual Assist and Visual Assist.NET installed. I ran the install for Visual Assist X and got the following message:
Caption: "Error"
Text: "Error while unpacking program, code 2. Please report to author"

Follow up.
If I hit ok on previous error dialog, I get the following:
Caption:"Error"
Text:"LoadLibrary(c:\\Program Files\\Visual Assist X\\VA_X.DLL) failed.
GetLastError returns 0x0000045a"

Do you have a system debugger running? If so, try disabling it first.

I do have SoftIce installed. I cannot uninstall SoftICE, as it is critical to my development environment. Am I unable to run Visal Assist X if SoftICE is installed or running?

I disabled SoftICE and reinstalled and it went fine.
