using VS .NET 2003 and VAX 1221, programming in C++

i haven't seen a suggestion box popup on a #include line for several days now. they popup and work fine if i use ctrl_space to trigger them, but not of their own accord.

so, similar to:

but not quite the same.

still a problem in 1230 on my work machine (VS .NET 2003). this is not a problem on my home machine which is running VS .NET.

i am not using any other plugins on either machine.

*puzzled expression* i think this is good news.

i wanted to test some XML code, so i switched from the main (and rather large) project into a test project containing only 2 small cpp files.

once i got there, the suggestion list box turned up on #include lines!

the only times this failed are when i got a blank tomato suggestion while typing #include, as described in:
http://forum.wholetomato.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2203

so i switched back to the main project, and this is now working there as well

i am learning that Visual Studio works in very mysterious ways
