Assuming we understand your request...
If you have VC++ 6.0, Format Selection is assigned to Alt+F8 by default. You can reassign the command, SelectionFormat, using Tools|Commands|Keyboard.
If you have VS.NET, Ctrl+F is the default assignment for Edit.FormatSelection. Use Tools|Options|Environment|Keyboard to reassign it. |

Actually, in VS.NET (at least in 2003), the shortcut is Crtl+K, Ctrl+F. Seems that they have done a lot with "chorded" keystrokes.
Seems like I remember some of these "chords" from Turbo C++ (and Turbo PASCAL). I think those were based on BRIEF. Does anyone else remember?

Sorry, but I can't find it there --- under vc6 that is.
I opened up Tools|Customize|Keyboard and checked under the Edit, All Commands, and AddIns categories, but it just aint there. |

The name of the function is SelectionFormat usually bound to Alt+F8.
