With 1223 I can hover the mouse over a symbol and the VA View goes to that symbol. After installing 1233 and making no other changes this hovering no longer works. I do not have the pin pressed in the VA View.

We cannot reproduce the problem. Hovering works fine for us. We would like a few more clues.

What language? C++?

Does the rest of VA X appear to work in the file with the problem?

Does the problem exist in all files?

Is focus in the source window when you hover?

This sounds like a very old bug which I used to have (1244, for those who have access to the Private forum). The symptom was that hover didn't work, but click-and-then-hover did work. Also hovering over another symbol from the currently-displayed class did work. But that was fixed in build 1220.

Yes, C++

VA X works fine otherwise in the file (alt-g goes to the correct symbol)

Problem exists in all files

Focus is in the source window

I also tried first clicking on the symbol (putting the caret there) and the hovering but that didn't work either.

One other oddity happened when I was going back and forth installing 1223 and 1233. One of the times I installed 1223 the hovering didn't initially work in VA View. Then I went to the VA X menu and selected VA View. Then it worked. All other times I installed 1223 VA View hovering worked without this step. I tried this same thing with 1233 but it didn't help.

Does docking or undocking VAView make a difference?
